A light meter helps you to get color of main things that you are focusing on. On the first picture I got close to the computer scream and then I took the picture of my partner and you could not see my partner because it to dark. On the second on I got close to the computer scream and than got close to my partners face and went back for I could take the picture and it came out bright. The meter can help me in my future by taking pictures with out having to us the flash and get more focuses on the pictures.
